"Arise" by Mark Nadjiwan

"Arise" by Mark Nadjiwan is a story of how the first butterflies came to be. It follows two human infants, cared for by the creatures of Mother Earth who use their own unique skills to offer protection and sustenance. When they notice the twins aren't yet walking, the animals ask Nanabozho for help. He petitions the Great Spirit to find a solution, leading to the emergence of the first butterflies.
